Meet Andrew Lewis

Andrew Lewis, hailing from Price, UT, had a healthy upbringing but struggled with entitlement and laziness. He believed that his natural athleticism would secure him a spot in college football without putting in the necessary training. When he didn’t make it, he held the misguided notion that success should be handed to him. Amidst these challenges, Andrew faced a daunting battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, enduring two bone marrow transplants and chemotherapy. Prescribed opioids for pain, he fell into addiction, leading to a destructive cycle of meth and heroin abuse, multiple overdoses, and jail time.
Andrew was in jail when he heard about The Other Side Academy, and its cost-free, unique approach. He was interviewed and accepted. Despite initial isolation and mistrust, Andrew grew to embrace what the community had to offer, gradually shedding his past as a liar, cheat, thief, and manipulator.
Through two contracts and countless hours of personal growth, Andrew learned the power of vulnerability and accepting feedback. After 4.5 years as a TOSA student, he was hired as a full-time staff member in 2022. Today, Andrew holds the position of moving company supervisor, actively helping other TOSA students through the process. His life now reflects integrity and purpose, serving as a beacon of hope for those seeking redemption.
