The Other Side Academy is not just about getting people off drugs. It is about helping people create purposefully, connected, and happy lives. Ultimately, the only real measure of our work is how many of our students develop the character required to create that kind of life. That is our ultimate goal.

Our minimal goal is that in the years after graduation, our students are drug-free, crime-free, and gainfully employed.

 
 
 
 

OUR RESULTS AS OF DECEMBER 2025

The data below was compiled as of December 2025 from internal records and surveys conducted by The Other Side Academy. It covers the period from the organization's founding in 2015 through the end of 2025.

  • Commitment & Completion

  • 40% Retention Rate: People who commit to 2.5 years and are still here at the end.

  • 50% Elect to Stay an Optional Third Year: Grads who finish the required time (no court push) and choose to stay longer voluntarily.

  • At Graduation

  • 81% Employed: Full-time jobs lined up right when they graduate.

  • Long-Term Success (Post-Graduation)

  • 23% Recidivism Rate: Grads rearrested after completing 2.5+ years.

  • 69% DCE Overall: Drug-Free, Crime-Free, and Employed for all graduates.

  • 77% Crime-Free

  • 75% Drug-Free

  • 80% DCE for those who stayed 3+ years: Even stronger results when people opt in for that extra year.
