Matt Christensen

Matt grew up in Davis County as the oldest child in a loving family. He showed talent in many areas but rarely put in the consistent effort required to truly excel. Over time, he developed patterns of sneaky, manipulative, and dishonest behavior.
In his early twenties, Matt’s mother passed away. Instead of processing that loss in a healthy way, he used it as justification to make increasingly poor decisions. What followed was a long period of instability marked by repeated ups and downs. Eventually, his family introduced him to The Other Side Academy.
Matt spent nearly three and a half years as a student at The Other Side Academy. During that time, he learned how to show up consistently, take responsibility, and become someone others could rely on. He discovered that when you do hard things, you gain ability. When you gain ability, you can do harder things. And when you can do harder things, real change and even miracles become possible.
